Wedit - Two-sided marketplace
Wedit is a two-sided booking marketplace that connects people planning weddings, celebrations, and events with photographers, videographers, and other event professionals and lets those providers sell their unbooked dates at a discount.
Most creative service providers have gaps in their calendar throughout the year: dates that would otherwise go unused and unpaid. Wedit turns those empty dates into an opportunity. Providers list their open days at a reduced price, and clients get to book quality professionals for their occasion while saving money.
As the sole designer on the project, I owned the full process from early discovery and product definition to UX flows and the final UI.
The result: a live, growing MVP that helps providers fill unused dates and helps clients find the right professional for less.

Challenge
Wedit sits in the middle of two very different users, and the whole product only works if both sides are served well.
For service providers, the goal was to make it effortless to list unused dates and fill their calendar with discounted bookings turning idle time into income without extra admin.
For clients, the goal was a simple way to discover trusted providers for their occasion and book them at a better price.
The hardest part was that Wedit is only the middleman it introduces the client to the provider but isn't part of the actual service. So a key challenge was designing smooth communication and a clear handoff between client and provider, so that both sides trust the platform and booking feels effortless.
Results
Wedit launched as a working MVP that delivers on its core promise: providers can list and sell their unbooked dates, and clients can find and book them at a discount.
The product is early-stage and currently growing its base of providers and bookings. The design established a clear, trustworthy flow between two very different user groups the make-or-break problem for a marketplace like this.

Process
Research & Analysis: We conducted user interviews, surveys, and analyzed in-app analytics to understand the pain points and user needs. We also studied competitor apps and industry trends to gather insights
Information Architecture: Based on the research findings, we restructured the app's navigation and content, prioritizing features and information according to user needs.
Wireframing & Prototyping: We designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the new layout and navigation, iteratively refining them based on user feedback. Afterward, we built a high-fidelity, interactive prototype to test the design.
Usability Testing: We conducted usability tests with a diverse group of users to validate the design and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, we made necessary adjustments to the design.
Visual Design & Style Guide: We developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. We also created a style guide to maintain design consistency in future updates.

“ With our new visual branding and language in place, the new Shopify brand clearly captures the essence of our current and target customer base, our employees, and our values. ”
